    Collection Instructions
 
Collection of a midday urine specimen is recommended. Peak egg excretion occurs between noon and 3 pm. In patients with hematuria, eggs may be found trapped in the blood and mucus in the terminal portion (last voided portion) of urine specimen.

Transport to lab as soon as possible after collection.
